The Eyes Have IT!

Your eyes say a lot more about you than you think. I'm big on eyes, probably because it's one of the features of myself that I like and never changes no matter how much I weigh and, generally, how old I get. While my eye shape and color hasn't changed, other things have and today I want to talk about those things.

Yes ladies, I'm talking about wrinkles and under eye circles. Yep. Even the young ones talk about those things! Also, I want to spend a little time talking about eyebrows. I'm not sure if people get how much a difference a good eyebrow shape can make. I once heard Oprah talk about eyebrow shaping being the most important thing on your face because they frame the eyes.

That's kind of a big deal.

So the basic thing to know about your eyes is that they don't make their own moisture. The eye around the eyes is thinner than the rest of your face too, did you know that? So it's very important to use some kind of special moisturizer around your eye than what you might you use on the rest of your face. Your eyes have different needs so you treat them differently. It's good to note that eye cream is not just for use at night but it's especially important to wash & moisturize your face at night so your body can do all it's repairing and revitalizing (and beautifying) while you sleep!

I use the Mary Kay Firming Eye Cream and I can tell you that it made a HUGE difference when I started using it. I was actually surprised! I didn't realize how important eye cream was until I started using it regularly. The thing you want to look for is an eye cream with "peptides." Peptides are "a chain of amino acids that signal your skin to create more collagen." Collagen is a good thing.

I have always hated my natural eyebrows. Maybe one of these days I'll get a copy of the one family picture we have where my brows were seriously out of control and I look awful. Bleck. Eyebrows can be overtweezed and undertweezed. I found out today that they actually sell Eyebrow stencils! Imma gonna hafta gimme some! Love that idea!

The eyes have been called the "Windows to your soul," or the "brightest jewel," of your face. Even if you don't wear any makeup I highly recommend eye cream and eyebrow shaping.

Be Beautiful and Know It!
